How this calculator works

It estimates the person-minutes the clean will take (a base for the kitchen and living areas, plus minutes per bedroom, bathroom and 1,000 sq ft, plus pets), adjusts for condition and job type, and multiplies by your target hourly rate. Supplies and mileage are added, the recurring discount comes off, add-ons go on top, and the result is rounded up and never goes below your minimum job price.

Then it checks the other side: what you actually earn per person-hour once supplies, gas and drive time are taken out. If that falls below your minimum, you get a warning. Read the full method in How to price a house cleaning job.

The example numbers are not a recommendation. Rates vary a lot by city and service. Replace them with your own costs and what cleaners charge in your area.
