House cleaning add-on price list

Updated October 31, 2026 · QuoteCubby

Add-ons like inside the oven or fridge can raise a ticket by $50 to $100, or quietly lower your hourly pay if they are underpriced. Here are published ranges and a simple way to check each one.

House cleaning add-on prices

National average add-on prices from HomeGuide, next to the calculator’s starter numbers and what each one pays per hour:

Add-onPublished rangeStarter priceStarter minutesPays per hour
Inside oven$15–$35$3530 min$70
Inside fridge$12–$50$3530 min$70
Inside cabinets$25–$45+$4040 min$60
Window (each)$4–$7 interior · $5–$8 exterior$66 min$60
Blind (each)$20 (blinds)$88 min$60
Baseboards (whole home)$35+$4040 min$60
Laundry (per load)$5–$20$1510 min$90
Bed linens (per bed)$10 per bed$88 min$60

Starter prices and minutes are examples in the QuoteCubby calculator, not market rates. “Pays per hour” = starter price ÷ minutes × 60. Laundry pays more per hands-on minute but includes waiting time.

HomeGuide also lists polishing wood surfaces at $30+ and cabinet organization at $50.

Price add-ons from time, not habit

  1. Time each add-on two or three times.
  2. Multiply the minutes by your hourly rate.
  3. Round up, and check the result against the published range.
  4. Charge more for heavy buildup (a greasy oven, a fridge full of food).
Example: if inside the oven takes you 45 minutes and your rate is $50 per hour, the add-on should be about $37.50, so $40 after rounding, not $25.

How to present add-ons

  • List them on the quote with a price each, so clients can choose.
  • Bundle the common ones into deep and move-out packages (for example, inside cabinets in every move-out).
  • Put “inside oven/fridge not included unless listed” on every standard quote.

FAQ

How much should I charge to clean inside an oven?

HomeGuide lists $15–$35 for oven cleaning as an add-on. Price it from the time it takes you; a very greasy oven can take much longer than a lightly used one.

How much to charge for inside the fridge?

HomeGuide lists $12–$50. An empty fridge at move-out is quicker than a full one you have to unload and reload.

Should I charge for baseboards?

Many cleaners include a quick wipe in deep and move-out cleans and charge extra for baseboards on standard visits. HomeGuide lists baseboard cleaning at $35+.

Why check price per hour on add-ons?

An add-on that pays less per hour than your main rate quietly lowers your earnings. Divide the price by the minutes it takes and multiply by 60.
