Worked example
With the calculator’s example numbers, a 1,500 sq ft one-story house wash with a 600 sq ft driveway and patio is $290. A two-story 1,500 sq ft house on its own (+40% time for the second story) is $260, about 3.3 hours of work.
Example only, using the calculator’s starter numbers: $65 per hour target, 500 sq ft per hour on flat concrete and 750 on siding, $5 / $10 chemicals per 1,000 sq ft, $8 equipment cost per washing hour, 30 minutes setup and cleanup, 10 round-trip miles at $0.35, 30 minutes driving, $150 minimum, rounded up to $5. These are not market rates. The calculator uses home size as a stand-in for siding area; measure the walls if you want more accuracy.
