Price add-ons by time
A per-screen or per-window add-on price is easy for clients to understand, but it should come from your time. Time yourself on a few screens and tracks, then price those minutes at your target hourly pay. In the calculator, enter the number of screens, turn on tracks and sills, and put anything else in Extra work (minutes).
With the calculator’s example numbers (3 minutes per screen and 4 minutes of track and sill work per window), adding 22 screens and tracks to the example home takes it from $260 to $415.
Example only, using the calculator’s starter numbers: $60 per hour target, 10 minutes per standard window and 18 per large window (inside and out), 15 setup minutes, $5 supplies, 10 round-trip miles at $0.35 per mile, 20 minutes of driving, $150 minimum, rounded up to $5. These are not market rates.
Write add-ons on your price sheet
List what the regular price includes (for example glass inside and out and a wipe of the sills) and what costs extra. The free printable price sheet has a window cleaning version with blanks for your own add-on prices.
