Free cleaning quote calculator vs. Jobber

Updated November 2, 2026 · QuoteCubby

A free calculator works out the price. Jobber runs scheduling, invoices and payments around it. Here’s what each does, Jobber’s current prices, and how to choose.

Disclosure: QuoteCubby makes the free calculators and templates mentioned here and sells optional one-time spreadsheet kits. We’ve tried to keep this fair, and we say where the paid apps do more.

They do different jobs

The QuoteCubby calculator answers one question: what should I charge for this home? It estimates the time from the home’s size, rooms, condition and pets, prices standard, deep, move-out and first cleans from your own target rate, and shows what you really earn per hour after supplies and driving. Then it writes a short quote you can text in English or Spanish.

Jobber runs the business around that price: requests and online booking, quotes the client can approve, scheduling, invoices and online payments, and on higher plans automated reminders, follow-ups and QuickBooks Online sync (Jobber). Jobber won’t tell you what your price should be; you type in your own services and prices.

When Jobber is the better choice

  • You have recurring clients to schedule every week and want reminders sent for you.
  • You want clients to approve quotes and pay invoices online.
  • You have (or plan to hire) a team that needs the schedule on their phones.

Many cleaners use both: work out the price with a calculator, then enter it as a service in Jobber.

When the free calculator is enough

  • You’re setting or raising prices and want to see the numbers behind them.
  • You quote by text and already use a calendar and a payment app you’re happy with.
  • You’d rather not pay a monthly fee until the business is steady.
